By using ReceiptTruth (the app at app.receipttruth.com or this website), you agree to these terms.

1. The service

ReceiptTruth helps you compare grocery receipts to delivered items using AI-assisted import, scanning, and verification. Results are provided as guidance — you are responsible for checking outcomes and any refund claims with your supermarket.

2. Your account

You must register with email and password. Guest (anonymous) sessions are not available during the beta. Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Plans & limits

During beta, registered users receive 5 receipt verifications per calendar month at no charge. A verification is one imported receipt from import through to summary; item scanning within a verification is unlimited. Pro subscriptions via Stripe (when available) will offer unlimited verifications. We may change plan limits with notice on this site.

4. Acceptable use

Use ReceiptTruth lawfully and only for personal grocery verification. Do not abuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, or upload unlawful content.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of receipts and data you submit. You grant us permission to process that content to provide the service, including AI analysis and storing matched barcodes in our product catalogue.

6. AI & accuracy

AI parsing and matching may be incorrect. Always review verification summaries before relying on them. We do not guarantee that missing items will be refunded by your supermarket.

7. Email import

If you forward emails to your personal ReceiptTruth address, you confirm you have the right to share that content with us for processing.

8. Availability

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change as the product develops.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReceiptTruth is not liable for indirect losses or refund outcomes with third-party supermarkets. Our total liability is limited to fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months (if any).

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. See also our Privacy Policy.
